Apollo 11 Flown Thermal Mylar Film Coating "Kapton" Foil, 4 Mounted Samples on Acrylic Squares (First of two sets in auction.)This flown Kapton foil is from the Apollo Command Module, "Columbia" which first landed men on the moon. The mylar film coating provided thermal protection for the Command Module. Once returned to Earth, was easily removed from the spacecraft and very often used for presentation purposes with the foil samples, affixed to acrylic were to be placed more often than not into acrylic display pieces.
