Interesting Lots of Materials from the Early Days of the Space Program Including Logs, Patches, Bumper 8 Anniv. & Velcro. Diverse collection of materials related to the early days of the US Space Program. Included are 1.) Donald "Deke" K. Slayton handwritten tests and papers (4 total) while a student pilot and engineer at the USAF Experimental Flight Test School at Edwards AFB, California in the mid-1950s, 2.) a press release regarding and early sample of Velcro from Space Associates, Houston, Texas, 3.) a 1969 Apollo/Saturn V (KSC-NASA 1969) original engineering log of pencil notes of live recordings and daily event activities of a Moon rocket engineer at Launch Complex 39 supporting that year's Apollo 9-12 systems operations, 4.) Three vintage original patches from 1969 one of Apollo 12 boasting one of the best logos of all Apollo missions, a US Flag patch and NASA logo patch, 5.) Two original 2 " segments of a used computer circuit board that had been used for a checkout/launch control console in support of Apollo/Saturn V launch vehicle, 6.) Finally a group of items: a signed cover, signed program, a photo, and pocket schedule commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the launch of BUMPER 8, July 24,1950 becoming the first successful launch from Cape Canaveral.
