Guenter Wendt Personal Collection of 7 Signed Vintage Original Photos and Lithos Including Gemini &Apollo. Guenter F. Wendt (1923-2010) German/American engineer who became an almost legendary presence as a McDonnell engineer, supervising spacecraft launch pad preparations at Cape Canaveral during the Mercury and Gemini manned space programs beginning with the flight of Ham the chimpanzee in 1961. An almost good luck figure to the astronauts with his lab coat, bow-tie and glasses who earned great respect by all astronauts. Offered are 7 vintage photo and lithos all signed on the back from Gemini (this photo is identified in block letters in Wendt's hand) Apollo, Skylab and Shuttle missions. Also included is a two page biography. 5 black and white photos show only minor aging and handling, the lithos exhibit very minor age toning. Estimate Value $250 - 500
