Lindbergh, Charles A. - Signature and Memorabilia (1902-74) American aviator who made the first nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic May 20-21, 1927 in a plane called The Spirit of St. Louis. Closing of a letter signed "C.A. Lindbergh" below typed "Sincerely" and Lindbergh's initials followed by the typist's initials: "CAL:ES," on a 1½ x 3¾" piece of paper, which is affixed to a toned 4½ x 6" album page. Lindbergh's name and the date "1931" are written in another hand on the album page. Accompanied by four items from a June 14, 1927 banquet given by The Mayor's Committee on Receptions of the City of New York at the Commodore Club in Lindbergh's honor: the program, the seating list, the invitation, and the ticket stub for the banquet, printed "Lindbergh Banquet."
