Wooly Mammoth Tooth. Wooly Mammoths (Mammuthus primigenius) had the largest individual teeth of any animal that ever lived. This large 8½" long, 3½" wide and 5½" deep molar was dredged from the North Sea and is 30,000 -75,000-years-old. The flat grinding part of the mottled brown tooth has attractive black enamel alternating with a dark brown dentine and a large 5½" dark brown root that is virtually complete except for some of the sharp edges.
