Remarkable Antique 18K Yellow Gold Locket with Magnificent Handpainted Porcelain Male Portrait Inside. Master craftsmanship is evident in this antique 18K yellow gold, heavy square locket, edges etched in a floral motif. When opened locket reveals porcelain portrait of a decorated male aristocrat in extraordinary detail most especially in the face. We have rarely seen such beautiful detail in any miniature much less within a locket. Stunning. Locket measures 2½ x 1¾" with a gross weight of 74 grams (clearly due to the porcelain.)
