Lot 395

Large 19th Century Pewter Coffee Pot, Pennsylvania. A very large pewter coffee pot from the 19th Century. There are no mark on the base save for a small "58" and a sticker from an antiques dealer that is very rubbed, "1840 Pennsylvania". What we can say is this the largest piece of pewter in the collection. Pot is 13½" tall and base is 7½" in diameter with the exterior in great condition, and the base of handle ending in a heart shaped accent. Likely there was a repair to the bottom of base for the pewter has an odd crescent shaped discoloration (the base is sand filled) but none of this shows when displayed. Impressive coffee pot just by its size and design. Estimate Value $200 - 400
