19th Century Scenes of Cuban Life - Seven Chromolithographs, c. 1855. From "Album pintoresco de la Isla de Cuba," including the lovely, decorative frontispiece. Publisher: B[ernardo] May y Ca., Havana and Berlin, c. 1853. Storch & Kramer, lithographer. Plate size ranges from 6" x 8¾" to 6¾ x 9"; sheet size from 9½ x 13½" to 10 x 13" sheet. Most have titles in English and German, as well as Spanish. Four are matted to 14 x 18"; two are matted to 1` x 14". Light toning, else fine. Scenes include sponge fishermen, dancing, a cock fight, a street vender, etc. In addition to the frontispiece, titled "Album pintoresco de la Isla de Cuba," the titles are: "Vivenda de los Pescadores de Esponjas"; "El Zapateado"; "Valla de Gallos"; "El Casero"; "El Quitrin"; and Corrida de Toros."
