John Wayne, Inscribed and Signed Congratulations for a 50th Wedding Anniversary + Will Rogers Signed Program. John Wayne (1907-1979) arguably one of the most iconic film stars of the 20th Century whose popularity endures today. Offered is a handwritten and signed letter of congratulations by Wayne on the occasion of a 50th wedding aniversary declaring the couple "the envy of many and have the Good Will of All", then boldly signed and dated 1978. Inscribed and signed image area of card measures 6 x 4.5". Coupled with the note is a photo card of Wayne that was going to be combined in a frame. Letter by Wayne is very clean and bold and quite the collector's item. Second piece being offered is a signed 1925 Will Rogers tour program. Cover boldly signed by Rogers, maybe a bit too boldly because he had to re-letter the R in Rogers. Great youthful image of the legendary entertainer.
