Beautiful Antique Hungarian Fire Department Presentation Dagger and Scabbard Dated 1939. Hungarian dagger issued to high-ranking officers of the fire brigades as a sign of honor and recognition of service. The flat of the blade has the stamped Hungarian shield logo and is inscribed to recipient and dated February 14th, 1939 Budapest. On the cross guard is another Hungarian shield with silver St. Stephen's crown on fine enamel that sits upon a circular motif of crossed fire axes with flames on top. The butt of the dagger is a European fire helmet. Dagger measures 23 inches in its scabbard. Condition is very good. Estimate Value $500 - 700
