Antique English Cased Pair of Box-Lock Percussion Belt Pistols, Osborn Gunby & Co., ca. 1840. Nice box-lock percussion belt pistols, 3" .45 cal. octagon steel turn-off barrels engraved; "OSBORN GUNBY & Co., LONDON". Steel box-lock frames are engraved w/a military panoply of arms, top mounted sliding safeties, and mounted w/the original belt hooks. Drop triggers(activated when the hammer is pulled back). Fine full checkered grips with minor scratches and dings from years of use. Pistols are in good working order. Pistols of this form were favored by Sea Captains. Case accessories include; powder flask, bullet mold, tow, balls, patches, and cap tin with caps. Box measures; 8 x 10¾ x 2¼". Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
