Tibbets, Paul and Charles Sweeney - The Two Pilots Who Dropped Atomic Bombs on Japan. Group of four photos. Two are of the Enola Gay, which was piloted by Paul Tibbets on August 6, 1945, and dropped the atomic bomb "Little Boy" on Hiroshima Japan. Both photos are inscribed and signed by Tibbets. A third photo is of Bockscar, the B-29 Superfortress named Bockscar which was piloted by Charles Sweeney on August 9, 1945, and dropped the atomic bomb "Fat Man" on Nagasaki, Japan; it is signed, followed by "Aircraft Commander 8/9/45". The fourth photo, with signature only, is of Sweeney climbing into the cockpit of Bockscar. All in fine condition. Estimate Value $300 - 400
