150 Years of Wars: WWI, WWII, Spanish American and Civil War. A nice collection of vintage ephemera starting with the Civil War through WWII. In this collection a superb Union Soldier's letter from the Benton Barracks to his wife dated January 25, 1862 mentioning gunboats on the Mississippi, plus a signature of Col. Uri B. Pearsall of the 99th US Colored Troops, a nice collection of Admiral George Dewey (Spanish-American War, Battle of Manila) ephemera including an early printing of "The Dewey Souvenir (soft red leather cover) and beautiful invitations and receptions for the Admiral, assorted WWI programs for War Department Victory Parades and Armistice Day celebrations (1919 & 1920) patriotic sheet music of the time and two vintage original photos and a typed "fact book" regarding The Barling Bomber. From WWII several vintage original photo including MacArthur, Nimitz and Truman, several pieces signed by Joe Rosenthal including commemorative covers, and a fine Japanese/Allied Forces "I Cease Resistance - Safe Conduct Pass".
