1844 N-5 R1 First 4 Repunched PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Attractive lustrous light bluish steel and olive with traces of mint red on the obverse and 25% of the reverse showing mint color. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is excellent. The only marks are a nearly vertical nick or planchet chip in the middle of the jawline and a spot of fine carbon at the berry left of the O in ONE. Sharply struck M-LDS, die state c early. The die crack at ME is faint and the rim cud break on the obverse has not formed. The repunching on the first 4 is clear. Our grade is MS60+.
