1839 N-13 R2 Booby Head PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Lustrous medium steel brown and light olive with delicate overtones of light bluish steel on the reverse. Mint frost covers this cent and it offers excellent eye appeal. The notable marks are a very shallow low spot between the date and star 1 and a tiny planchet clip that affects the dentils right of star 10 and the opposing dentils over the R in AMERICA (both as struck). M-LDS. The always-present die crack at NITED STAT is clear and a new fine die crack reaches through ES to the dentils near the adjacent O. Our grade is MS62. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 2 finer in 66 for the variety. PCGS #37252. Estimate Value $3,000 - UP
Ex Gene Heard Collection.
