Lot 334

1835 N-8 R1 Head of 1836 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. The surfaces are slightly dull from a thin layer of natural oxidation but the surfaces are attractive and nearly flawless. There is a trace of friction on the highpoints, and a tiny speck of darker toning left of the O in OF can help identify this cent. M-LDS with a die crack up from the dentils through the 1 and portrait through star 8 to the dentils above. Our grade is AU55. Noyes says AU55 as well, his photo #27818. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Garrett-Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 63, 1 in 64 for the variety. PCGS #37060. Estimate Value $600 - UP
