1834 N-4 R2 Large 8 & Small Stars PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty medium brown and steel delicately woodgrained with darker olive brown and chocolate. Looks choice mint state but a glass reveals a trace of rub on the highest points of the portrait. Otherwise this cent is nearly flawless. The best identifying mark is a tiny planchet chip in the middle of star 1 (as struck). LDS with a fine die crack through stars 12 and 13. Our grade is AU55. Previously removed from a PCGS slab graded MS63BN (PCGS label #1699.63/5203195 included). The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 6 finer for the variety.
