Lot 324

1831 N-8 R3 PCGS graded AU55, CAC Approved. Frosty medium steel brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. There is a hint of friction on the highpoints but the surfaces are nearly void of marks or other defects. A very tiny tick on the nose even with the eye and a couple light nicks on the jaw are the only notable marks. MDS with a die crack through the tops of TED ST but before any extensions up to the dentils. Graded MS63 Choice and CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #33956. Our grade is AU55. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Reale-Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer, 1 in 58, 1 in 62, 1 in 64 for the variety. PCGS #36979.
