1818 N-9 R3 PCGS graded MS64+ Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous light olive and golden tan with hints of underlying very faded mint red showing through in protected areas. The only marks, and they are insignificant, are a small puff of slightly darker toning in the field before the mouth and a light vertical nick just right of the top of the C in CENT. MDS with a tiny rim break involving 3 dentils from star 7.5 to star 8. Graded MS60+ and CC#2 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60 and tied for CC#4, his photo #21652. Our grade is MS60+. A very nice cent that comes with a significant provenance. The attribution and Naftzger-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; finest BN of the variety. PCGS #36625.
