Great Britain. Gilt Pattern Proof Halfpenny, 1790. Peck 955. By Droz. George III. Obverse; GEORGIVS III D.G. REX Undraped bust of king to right with wreath tied with a riband showing one loop and two loose ends. Hair in long curls behind the shoulder reaching down nearly to the border, and a few small curls under the truncation. Reverse; Britannia in clinging drapery seated to left on globe, her outstretched right arm points left. Edge RENDER TO CAESAR &c. in raised letters. A very attractive mint state piece in a superb state of preservation. Designated by Peck as Very Rare. PCGS graded Proof 63 Cameo. WINGS. Estimate Value $700 - 800
