Lot 26

1818 N-5 R3 PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved. Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with lustrous lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. The only notable marks are a few small spots of darker toning, including one at the top of the first 8, a smaller one midway between stars 4 & 5, and another just left of star 11. M-LDS. The die crack through stars 1-3 extends to the dentils under star 1 and nearly reaches the lower point of star 4. Our grade is EF45+. A nice example of a die variety that is unknown in mint state in either the Bland or Noyes condition census. The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 62 for the variety. PCGS #36613. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
