1818 N-1 R2 PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Choice lustrous light olive and bluish steel brown with 10-15% of the mellowing mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. A nearly flawless cent that offers outstanding eye appeal. The only notable marks are a tiny speck of darker toning off the lower left point of star 6 and a dull nick on the throat. MDS with minor rim crumbling from star 3 to beyond star 4. Graded MS63 and tied for finest known honors in both the Noyes and Bland census lists, Noyes photo #27521. Our grade is MS63 as well. An impressive cent that comes with an equally important provenance. The attribution and Newcomb-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 66 for the variety.
