Thessaly, Thessalian League. Silver Stater (5.92 g), mid-late 1st century BC. Philippos and Themistogenes, magistrates. Head of Zeus right, wearing oak wreath. Reverse: ΘEΣΣA-ΛΩN, Athena Itonia advancing right right, wielding spear and holding forth shield on outstretched arm; above and in exergue, magistrate's names: ΦIΛIΠ-ΠOY and [ΘH]MIΣTO[ΓENHΣ]; in outer right field, Ennodia running right, holding two torches.
