A RARE ANTIQUE AMERICAN KENTUCKY/PENNSYLVANIA-STYLE BLANKET PERCUSSION RIFLE. A rare antique American Kentucky/Pennsylvania-style blanket percussion rifle, circa. 1845. 5.5".50 cal. rifled barrel. Brass furniture includes a 'patch box' on the right side of butt and a small cap or ball compartment located at the rear of the trigger guard finial. The tiger maple stock is sound with a few stress cracks in front of the lock, a decorative silver 'Eagle' inlaid on the right side of stock and a 'Stag' on the left, scratches and dings from years of handling. Lock is marked 'WARREN & STEEL, ALBANY' (New York), and is in good mechanical working order. 22" overall. Note; type carried concealled in a blanket on a pack horse. $2,000 - 3,000
