Byzantine Bronze Reliquary Cross Pendant. Bronze reliquary with top loop for handing. Rendered in relief, the cross shows on one side the heavily draped, haloed Christ flanked by saints at either end of the cross' horizontal feature, and on the other side the haloed Christ "orans" with busts of saints encased in medallions stationed above, below, and on either side of the central figure. Beautiful hard olive green patina. Circa 12th-14th century C.E. Length: 115 mm. $2,500 - 3,000
