Rare Han Dynasty Jade Pitch Pipe. Softly polished, light brown and yellow mottled, translucent jade cylindrical tube. Evidence suggests that tubes of this sort functioned as pitch pipes to produce particular notes. Housed in a fitted red silk box. Han Dynasty, circa 2nd century B.C.E. Length: 3". $900 - 1,200
