ANTIQUE EARLY 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SILVER MOUNTED QUEEN ANNE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY I. TURNER. An antique early 18th century English silver mounted Queen Anne form flintlock pistol made by I. Turner (John), LONDON. 5. 3/8".58 cal. smooth-bore turn-off cannon barrel. The pistol is in it's original flintlock configuration. Crude period re-stock retaining the ornate silver butt cap featuring a 'Lion' on top of a 'Castle Rampart'. All steel parts have light pitting and a dark age patina. Two English 'PROOFS' are present on the bottom of the barrel breech. Maker's name is engrave just under the frizzen spring. 12.25" overall length. Note; needs a main spring.25" of the pistol frame tang is broken off. An interesting pistol most likely used in the American Colonies. $1,500 - 2,500
