AN ANTIQUE BRITISH LIGHT DRAGOON FLINTLOCK PISTOL. An Antique British Military Private Purchase Light Dragoon Flintlock Service Pistol, circa. 1810. 9" .65 cal.(carbine bore) round steel barrel marked w/(2) Private PROOFS, and engraved on the top; "HOLBORN"(where many gun makers under contract to the Tower of London were located, Holborn, London). Original captive ram-rod. Lock marked on the tail of lock plate; "TOWER" with just a "CROWN" stamped in front of the cock(no GR, denoting private purchase and not ordnance property). Regulation brass furniture, trigger guard stamped; "R 4" over "C" over "16" (should be researched). Stock is solid w/scratches and dings from years of service.
