1853 N-19 R1 Repunched 853 NGC graded AU53. Badly Misaligned Dies. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown. The only defect is a spot of fine carbon in the dentils at star 13. LDS, die state c. The repunching under the 3 is visible but the repunching under the 8 & 5 is gone. The obverse is badly misaligned to K-9 while the reverse is centered on the planchet. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF30. The "Obverse Misaligned Die Mint Error" is noted on the NGC label. Estimated Value $100-UP
