1846 N-16 R5- Tall Date PCGS graded AU55. Glossy medium brown and chocolate with bluish steel overtones in protected areas. The only mark is a dull, very light and barely visible rim nick off the end of the wreath ribbon. Stars 6 & 9 are weakly struck. LDS, die state c late, with a strong rim cud break from above star 10 down to star 11 plus a clear die crack on the rim outlining where the lower portion of another rim cud is forming up from the first. Tied for CC#5 overall and tied for CC#3 of state c. A great cent that comes with a nice provenance. Our grade is EF45. Estimated Value $500-UP
