1839/6 N-1 R3+ Overdate 9 over 6 VG7+. Sharpness F12 but there is a collection of tiny contact marks between stars 8 & 9, a pair of light vertical scratches in the hair right of the date, a dull mark on the rim over the second T in STATES, and a few shallow pits under ST in STATES. The toning is an attractive glossy medium to dark chocolate brown with lighter brown toning on the devices. EDS, before the obverse die cracked. The overdate feature is obvious to the unaided eye.
