2000s Shuttle FLOWN NASA IBM ThinkPad model 760XD. Flight laptop part number SDZ39129262-301 s/n 6036. 760XD flight laptops were flown on Space Shuttle and ISS and were manufactured to function on the Space Shuttle's 28 volt power system via DC power cable. Five Velcro strips on the bottom of the laptop are used to secure the laptop to the Expansion Assembly Dock during flight. To provide AC power to the laptop requires Expansion Assembly Dock (not included) to be connected to the laptop. This NASA modified laptop cannot be directly connected to an AC power source. Laptop contains a probably unflown CD ROM drive with non-matching serial number. Laptop does not include hard drive, software, power cord or battery. Laptop was purchased as NASA surplus. Original NASA cost was $4265.00. ThinkPads (all models) are the only laptops certified for use on the International Space Station. Includes detailed COA. Estimated Value $750 - 1,000
