1967 Apollo 1 original 'Apollo flight crew emblem' crew patch. This is one of the genuine 'official' crew patches (3½") as given to Deke Slayton in his official capacity as Director of Flight Operations by Apollo 1 crew member Gus Grissom prior to the fire in whcih the crew lost their lives. Included is a copy of two notes (originals on file) found with the patches in Slayton's estate. One is of a NASacard reading "Item: 'Apollo Flight Crew Emblem' (Part no ACS 204/Date Sept 19/1966/Quantity/5/Aug 1966" and bears two official handstamps. 2005 Bobbi Slayton COA.
