500-200 B.C. Bell Shaped Gold Ornaments. Greek Classical/Hellenistic Period, a collection of 5 bell shaped ornaments in 22 K gold that were sewn into the garments or piece of jewelry of the nobility. Hammered designs give each ornament an appealing texture. The two large bell shaped pieces measure 2 mm. x 1½ mm., one with a partial separation. The three slightly smaller bells measure 2 mm. x 1 mm. and still retain their shape. Also included is 9½ mm. length of gold thread used to secure the ornaments. Comes in a Riker mount display.
