Greco-Romano Bronze Medusa Applique, ca. 1st Century AD. A very interesting large bronze applique with the beautiful head of Medusa with wings atop her head and snakes for hair; within a circle and surrounded by flames. Appliques with Medusa were attached to buildings as an amulet to protect from evil spirits. Uncleaned and in Fine condition. Measures:; Weighs: Estimated Value $400 - 500
