Pardell, C.A. Sitting Bull, Songs of Glory. Pardell, Christopher (1957 -) Born in Oakland, California, in 1957, Christopher has made his living at sculpture and design since the age of 21 and has become one of the most collected contemporary artists of Native American sculptures in mixed media bronze. Cold painted bronze, a combination of bronze, brass vermeil, 24k gold vermeil and all mounted on polished marble blocks distinguish his pieces. From a hand signed limited edition 89/750, Sitting Bull (1831-1890) was a Hunkpapa Lakota holy man who visions led his people during years of resistance to United States government policies. One of the most recognizable Native Americans in history due to his dominance in Western history and folklore. 11 x 5 x 5" this particular piece is absolutely stunning in its detail and sense of movement.
