Art Deco Egyptian Revival Alabaster Sculpture and Lamp. A most impressive piece. A spectacular alabaster sculpture ca. late 1920s very much of the Art Deco and Egyptian Revival period. Beautifully executed Egyptian royal, elegantly reclining atop a lioness, with bronze painted details to the trim and straps of her dress. Further, a very discreet hole was drilled to right side of base to accommodate a bulb for internal illumination which adds another appealing element to this exceptional piece. While the fixture and wiring appear somewhat new, the light toggle certainly appears of considerable years. Sculpture is 20 x 15½ x 7½" and weighs close to 45 pounds. In very fine condition and again, an exceptionl piece. Unsigned. Estimated Value $1,500-UP
