Revolutionary War Era 6 Pound Canonball. Excellent, 6 lb., solid shot cannonball, ca. 1760s, evidently from Massachusetts. 3¾" in diameter. In overall very good untouched condition with the expected light to moderate surface pitting and a chocolate-brown age patina with various minor abrasions from internment. This cannonball is actually referenced in the family history Seven Generations: A Story of Prattville and Chelsea (1930) by industrialist Walter Pratt …." The writer has in his possession a cannonball, which family tradition credits Thomas Pratt with bringing away from Bunker Hill when he retreated…" Chapter 37 page 197.
