Einstein, Albert. Book inscribed and signed, being a Third Edition, revised, including The Generalized Theory of Gravitation, of The Meaning of Relativity, Princeton University Press, Princeton, New Jersey, 1950. Inscribed and signed in German "A. Einstein. 54." on the first end page. 162 pp. plus index, hardcover, 8vo., cloth-backed boards. No dust jacket. Book is slightly worn along the edges and spine, but still very good to fine.

In 1921, five years after the appearance of his comprehensive paper on general relativity, Einstein visited Princeton University, where he delivered a series of four lectures that constituted an overview of his controversial theory of relativity. In 1922, Princeton University Press published those lectures under the title The Meaning of Relativity. As subsequent editions were printed by the Press, Einstein included additional material amplifying the theory. Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500
