Lot 364

1842 N-8 R1 Large Date MS63. Choice lustrous light olive and bluish steel brown with traces of faded mint red showing on the obverse. Satiny and nearly perfect with outstanding eye appeal. A small planchet flake on the rim at star 5 (as struck) is the best identifying mark, and it is insignificant. LDS, die state b. The diagonal point up from the right top of the N in CENT is clear but the earlier lines are gone. Tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $800-UP

Ex Abner Kreisberg (Quality Sales Corp) 6/17/1968:484-R. L. Rudolph Collection (lot envelope included).
