Lot 338

1831 N-7 R1 Large Letters Reverse AU50. Frosty light brown and tan with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints and puffs of darker bluish steel toning at AM and RI in AMERICA. Underlying mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal is excellent. The notable marks are a dull diagonal nick left of the ear lobe and a small spot of darker toning in the field right of the lower right point of star 2. MDS. The fields are lightly flowlined but the crumbling in the notch of the R in AMERICA has not formed. The reverse is rotated 25 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot orientation. Estimated Value $300-UP
