1847 N-39 R3 PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Lustrous light bluish steel brown and olive with 20% of the obverse showing mint red, 5% of the reverse. Looks flawless to the unaided eye, but a glass reveals dull, very light contact marks on the ear, mouth, and upper edge of the neck at the jawline. EDS, die state a. The fine diagonal die lines from the first T in STATES to the O in ONE are present. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#10 in the Grellman census.
