Lot 802

1847 N-11 R4 AU50+. Frosty medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny mint luster covers the protected areas and the eye appeal is excellent. Would rate a slightly higher grade but there is a small spot of carbon nestled between star 12 and the dentils plus an area of dull reddish olive brown toning at TA in STATES. Nicely struck MDS, die state a. A nice example of a variety that is very difficult to find in high grade. Tied for CC#6 honors in the Grellman census.
Estimated Value $400-UP.
