1847 N-10 R3 PCGS graded MS66 Brown. Lustrous medium steel brown and olive with 15% of the faded mint red remaining. A very attractive cent; hence the lofty grade assigned by PCGS. Nearly flawless except for a small spot at the dentils right of star 9, traces of an old fingerprint at ST in STATES, and some microscopic roughness around the end of the wreath ribbon and along the rim at the bottom of the reverse. MDS showing microscopic die flowlines in the fields on both sides. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#2 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS for the variety .
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.

Realized $2,115
