Lot 648

1819 N-7 R4 PCGS graded AU53. Frosty dark steel brown and olive. No roughness or verdigris, only a few light contact marks. The notable ones are a thin diagonal nick in the field midway between the chin and star 2 and a curved light scratch between star 3 and the end of the nose. Nicely struck EDS with sharp dentils on the reverse in addition to the always present die rust scattered over that side (tiny lumps on the coin). Our grade is EF45, at the lower end of the condition census for this tough die variety. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; none finer for the variety.
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.

Realized $1,645
