Lot 636

1817 N-12 R3 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Very attractive frosty steel brown and light chocolate with very faded red showing in protected areas on both sides, especially on the reverse. Essentially flawless in every respect with just a hint of rub on the very highest points of the devices. Two dull, light nicks at the right bottom of the E in ONE can help identify this cent, but you will need a glass to see them. MDS with a die crack from star 1 down to the dentils below in addition to the earlier cracks through the date and stars. A nice example of a variety that's very difficult to find in high grade. Our grade is AU58. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer in 63.
Estimated Value $3,000-UP.

Realized $5,405
