Lot 2035

1844-C. PCGS graded MS-61. Lovely rich gold toning. The fields are semi-reflective. Examination of Liberty's face finds a couple of old nicks, but they blend into her cheek. The surrounding fields are generally clean and attractive, and this one has a decent strike for an early Charlotte Mint issue. Only 11,622 struck and all Mint State examples are highly prized and of the highest rarity. Pop 3; 3 finer, 2 in 62, 1 in 63. (PCGS # 7735) .
Estimated Value $12,000 - 14,000.
