Lot 1410

1854. PCGS graded Proof 64+. Well struck and nicely toned on both sides with deep and colorful iridescence on the obverse, the reverse with more russet gold hues. This is an important type coin with the Arrows at the date, and these were issued only from 1853 through 1855. Proof mintages for the Arrows coins were extremely limited and all examples are rarities today. It is believed that only 15 examples minted and that perhaps 10 exist today in all grades. This example is clearly one of the finer pieces known today and a coin that would be a welcome addition to any advanced collection. Pop 1; 3 finer in 65. (PCGS # 4743) .
Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000.
