Artist Ephemera - An Eclectic Collection. This grouping of art related material includes a Typed Letter Signed by architect Walter Gropius inviting an admirer to one of his homes; a Typed Letter Signed by cartoonist Walter Lantz (written to a new mother who named her son after Lantz) to which he also adds a sketch of "Woody Woodpecker"; an Inscribed Photo Signed by Walter Lantz; and a printed sketch of "Woody Woodpecker" colored in crayon that has been inscribed by Walter Lantz; and three visiting cards signed by artist James Montgomery Flagg, sculptor of the Statue of Liberty Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi and "Blondie" cartoonist Dean Young. The Gropius letter is lightly toned with a few soft creases and two small tears at the upper left. Otherwise the lot is in very good condition overall.
