Nikolayev, Popovich and Cooper. Signatures. Lot of two signed Time Magazine covers spotlighting three early space explorers. Lot includes an August 1962 cover signed by Nikolayev and Popovich, and a Gordon Cooper signed portrait cover dated May 1963. The cosmonauts' cover is accompanied by a transmittal envelope from the Soviet Union and has an attached mailing label. Covers have been matted to an overall size of 11 x 14." The Cooper cover has some mailing label residue and edge wear. Both pieces are in very good to fine condition.
Although most people would be hard pressed to name more than a couple notables from the current crop of astronauts, the pioneering astronauts and cosmonauts were household names and we are delighted to offer these very nice covers and their strong signatures.
